There's nothing more fun than a day filled with FERRET FUN or EDUCATION.  Here are all the ferret events we are aware of going on in the area. If you know of an event not listed here, please forward or send the information to our Webmaster via our Feedback form.

Sat April 25, 2009 CT FACT's Ferret Treasures Semi-Annual Store Clearance & Sale. 11 am to 3 pm at FACT headquarters: 16 Sherbrooke Avenue, Hartford, CT. Come visit the shelter and snag some of the cozy ferret bedding Vanessa' creates over the winter. Lots of other ferret gifts and toys available. A selection of gently used cages, carriers and supplies always at rock bottom prices and always benefiting the FACT shelter. Please contact FACT if you need further info.

Hours: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. NOTE: Signs will be posted in front of the hall or call cellphone 8 6 0-3 0 6-2 6 3 0 that day only for any last minute directions. CT FACT's 2nd Annual Blessing of the Animals. Noon to 4 pm - Co-sponsored by the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Ferret Association of Connecticut, October 4 will see a unique *Blessing of the Animals* in Hartford.

Reverend Richard Silbereis will provide a Blessing for your pet (or pet photo). Each pet will receive a small Blessing memento. The day will include representatives from area animal shelters offering information about adoptions, a Silent Auction of pet and people goods, and Dr. Barrios of the East Hartford Animal Clinic will provide low-cost vaccinations.

Most vaccinations will be only $15. To make sure he has vaccines needed on hand, please call Dr. Barrios’ office at 282.8989 before 9/23 to reserve your pet’s shot.

Admission for the public is free, although a gift of pet food to share among the participating shelters is requested.

FACT is actively recruiting animal organizations who would like to attend as well as animal-related companies who wish to exhibit their products.

The Church of the Good Shepherd is located at 155 Wyllys Street, just south of the Convention Center. Hours will be noon to 4 pm; the vaccination clinic and Blessing will begin at 1 pm.

Sat December, 2009 CT FACT's Holiday Open House. & Ferret Treasures Store Sale. 11 am to 3 pm at FACT headquarters: 16 Sherbrooke Avenue, Hartford, CT.

Ferret Treasures Store Sale: A huge selection of ferret sleepers, hammocks, snooze tubes and blankets designed specifically for ferrets and manufactured on site. Toys, gifts, jewelry, statues and more!

CT FACT's 19th Annual Open House & Member Party will be held on xxxxxxx 11 am to 3 pm at FACT headquarters: 16 Sherbrooke Avenue, Hartford, CT. In case of heavy snow the party will be postponed until txxxxxxxxxxx, In the event of a major snow storm, please call to verify.

Beverages and a light luncheon will be served.

Please drop a contact
FACT if you plan to attend to ensure we have the proper amount of food on hand.

An open FACT board meeting follows. All members and the public are invited to attend.
