1308 ferrets have found shelter at the Ferret Association of Connecticut since 1992. Of the 768 ferrets that arrived at FACT since 1999, 471 were placed in adoptive homes while 154 elderly and special needs ferrets were medically supported through FACT's foster program.

* 1999 was the first year FACT began systematically maintaining statistics other than arrival numbers.

Return Data: Was not consistently maintained prior to 2008. However, numbers have always been very low, a direct result, we believe, of our screening and interview process.
Foster Program: Year end numbers for 2002 through 2007 are missing. FACT has consistently had between 30 - 40 ferrets in the foster program.

NOTE: The difference between the total number of ferrets that arrived at FACT and the total number adopted/fostered differs because of ferrets that were found and reunited with their owner; that may have passed on while at the shelter; or that were transferred to other shelters for adoption.
