that HELP
ferret shelters!

Sadly, one of the by-products of running a shelter is dealing with loss. Besides our the loss of our personal pets, we have lost animals within hours of their arrival here as well as years after they have entered FACT's foster ferret program. But length of time you have known an animal has no bearing on our feelings of loss. It only seems like the loss of a beloved pet should feel "worse." Life just is not that simple!

We've set aside this section of our website to help deal with the process of loss. From making the decision to let your pet go to trying to find consolation in their passing.

Sadly, we can't avoid death.  All we can do is try to cope with it.
