The FACT, Inc. Halfway House is one of the largest ferret shelters in the United States. It is supported and operated by the Ferret Association of Connecticut, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) humane and educational organization. Since 1991, we have taken in and cared for hundreds of domestic pet ferrets that have lost their homes through no fault of their own.
Many of the ferrets that arrive at FACT are in good health and adoptable. However, a significant number are ill or elderly and face large medical bills. Realistically, it is almost impossible to find an adopter for these animals. Our solution has been to place them in permanent foster homes and pay the cost of their veterinary care. We will NOT PUT AN ANIMAL TO SLEEP unless it is medically necessary.
We need your help to be able to continue this work. We receive no federal or industry grants and are dependent upon charitable contributions.
There are two ways you can help. A one-time donation will help FACT care for the fostered ferrets and those who await homes in the shelter.
Another, more regular way to help, is to enroll in FACT's Supplemental Foster Program. Under the plan, you sponsor a ferret that is in the Foster Program by making a $5.00 monthly donation.
Upon enrollment, we will send you a list of eligible ferrets along with a 6 month coupon "reminder" book for contributions. Select your ferret and send in your first check. Shortly afterward, you will receive a small, framed photo of your foster "grand child" - yours to keep as a permanent reminder of your generosity!
You are, of course, under no obligation to continue! However, as long as you make monthly contributions, you will receive a subscription to "FACT Ferret Poop" - the bi-monthly FACT Foster Ferret newsletter which gives periodic updates about many of the ferrets in the foster program.
Won't you help give one of these gentle survivors the care they deserve for what time they may have left?
Complete and send in the coupon on the next page today.
You see a few pictures and read about all the foster ferrets that are available to be "e-dopted"
THANK YOU!
